Gerrish MacLean is a Maker, Illustrator, and Teacher. She has a BFA in Illustration from Lesley University College of Art and Design. She prefers working with watercolor and ink, though she often explores mixed media and methods of alternative printmaking. She makes work that is colorful, experimental, and playful, and covers themes of identity and the natural world. She aims to make work that connects to the experiences of women and queer folks, and that focuses on expressions of fluid feminine identity. She lives and works in Allston, MA with her guinea pig, Brussel Sprout.
